About this Course:
The Iowa Real Estate Academy offers 60 Hour Pre-License in both a LIVE (zoom conference) or ONLINE (self-paced) format to accomodate all students looking to apply for an Iowa Real Estate License.  All required courses may be taken in any order, only 60 Hour Pre-License is required in order to take the PSI exam.  The other three required courses are Buying Practices, Developing Professionalism and Listing Practices, which must be done in a LIVE format.  All course work, including the exam, must be completed within one year.  For more licensing information, please visit our Pre-License Requirements page.

Live Courses:
Just as any live learning experience, this live course offers the student opportunity to ask questions and clarify information.  Live courses are offered at set times with a commission approved instructor. Full time attendance is required with a working microphone and camera per the Iowa Real Estate Commission. In addition, the Iowa Real Estate Academy requests students be in a professional setting with few distractions such as people, pets or driving. 

Materials & Recommended Supplies:  
Materials for this course are in a digital format, which can be printed by the student if they choose from the Course Materials section. Students are encouraged to have pens, highlighters, standard calculator, index cards and snacks to keep energy high.
