Listing Practices

About this Course:
Listing Practices is one of the three 12 hour courses required to get your Iowa Real Estate License. All required courses may be taken in any order, only 60 Hour Pre-License is required in order to take the exam.  The other three required courses are 60 Hour Pre-License, Developing Professionalism & Ethical Practices and Buying Practices.  All course work, including the exam, must be completed within one year.  For more licensing information, please visit our Pre-License Requirements page.

Course Description:
Working with Sellers is a foundational part of any real estate agent’s career.  This course will cover where to find Seller clients, creating marketing plans including pricing and market analysis, and negotiating offers with a sample of necessary listing paperwork. Listing Practices is designed for the Pre-License Salesperson but can also be used for renewing credit hours for existing agents.  This is one of three 12 hour courses required for license application.  This course contains no testing nor is this course required to take the PSI Real Estate Exam.  Listing Practices is an approved course with the Iowa Real Estate Commission.
