60 Hour Pre-License (Online)
About this Course:
The Iowa Real Estate Academy offers 60 Hour Pre-License in both a LIVE (zoom conference) or ONLINE (self-paced) format to accomodate all students looking to apply for an Iowa Real Estate License. All required courses may be taken in any order, only 60 Hour Pre-License is required in order to take the PSI exam. The other three required courses are Buying Practices, Developing Professionalism and Listing Practices, which must be done in a LIVE format. Online Courses:
This online course contains a mixure of reading, video and practice quiz questions. Because the course was created by a local commission approved instructor who regularly audits the exam, the course is focused on the exact topics outlined by PSI exams with plenty of review content to help the self-paced learner retain the information.

Per the Iowa Real Estate Commission (IREC), students understand the following key points about distance learning (online/self-paced learning) which is self-paced without the use of a live instructor:
- IREC considers an hour of instruction to be 50 minutes
- Students must attest via affidavit to their course participation & completion
- All courses must be completed within 6 months of purchase date
- All online courses must contain a minimum of 10 questions per course hour (one CE=10 questions, 2CE=20 questions) or 60 questions for a 6-8 hour course
- There is no limit to the number of times you may retake a quiz
- A passing score of 80% must be attained to complete a course

Materials & Recommended Supplies:
Materials for this course are in a digital format, which can be printed by the student if they choose from the Course Materials section. Students are encouraged to have pens, highlighters, standard calculator, index cards and snacks to keep energy high.
